From Students to Pros: Certified Editors Review EditLab

After extensive research, I found this to be the best podcast editor course available. I really enjoyed the experience. The videos were clear and well-structured, and the support from Stephen and Veronica was tailored to suit my learning. I especially liked how much it was personalized to my situation everyone starts in different places, and that made a huge difference.
Two game changers for me were the trailer-making module and the Premiere Pro module. Making my marketing message and client profile has also been incredibly useful—I'm constantly using it. My first job on UpWork was teaching someone how to use Descript, just a month after learning it in EditLab!
I love Stephen's lessons; they’re so engaging that I sometimes forget they’re pre-recorded! And when we have calls, it feels like we’ve been talking all week. Veronica’s lessons are packed full of gold that I’ll keep referring back to on my journey.
Following the completion of the course, I now have a video podcast editing business and confidently call myself a podcast editor rather than hoping to become one. If you’re serious about becoming a podcast editor and are willing to commit, Video+Podcast EditLab will get you there!

From the start, Veronica was clear that there was a very real possibility of landing your first client by the end of the program—and that’s exactly what happened to me. The program had already paid its dividends in settling my financial worries.
Reflecting on my journey, I knew I needed technically proficient, in-demand skills that were monetizable, and I was shocked by how much more valuable the program turned out to be. The modules were well-paced, introducing complex topics like audio engineering and business marketing in a way that was enjoyable and straight to the point, with Veronica and Stephen’s signature flair.
I feel incredibly blessed to have been part of a small class that allowed for individualized attention. Stephen’s technical expertise and Veronica’s organizational templates gave me a strong foundation to grow as a freelancer and business owner. Their mentorship pushed me to believe in myself and taught me what I’m truly capable of.
By the end of the program, I had the confidence to call myself a video editor and the skills to prove it. If you’re ready to invest in yourself and step into an evolving industry, this program is for you.

Working with Stephen & Veronica was truly impactful. She helped us turn our website into a professional portfolio, which has been incredibly useful. Her push for us to actively seek out clients was so inspirational—it gave us the motivation we needed to take action!

Stephen and Veronica are so knowledgeable about what they teach. This program will help jumpstart your editing career and is worth every penny!

Do you have a word limit on these answers? OK, my overall experience was incredible. Both Veronica and Stephen were extremely supportive and excellent instructors. When I got overwhelmed, they listened and then proceeded to show me how much I had learned and grown in my skillset. I really appreciated how they broke the learning modules into "doable" chunks, giving us plenty of resources to work with. I know they are invested in my success as a podcast editor.

The EditLab experience blew me out of the water and I don’t say that lightly. I had to kiss a lot of frogs before finding your course. The price tag told me it was going to be good and it’s also the reason I had high expectations (which it far exceeded). I didn’t anticipate how advanced the editing and theory would get but I’m really happy it went there because I’d been wishing to find someone who could teach me those next-level skills. Equally awesome, I now have a fully functioning website complete with sleek marketing and sales copy (thank you, Veronica!), a stunning portfolio, and a polished proposal. They not only thought of all the things I’d need to start offering podcast editing services but each module was well crafted and easy to follow. They answered all my questions, listened to our thoughts and ideas, and even went out of their way to make special lessons based on different skills or techniques we wanted to learn.

Meet Your EditLab Instructors

Hey there, I'm Stephen.
I've got your back. Let's do This!
I'll be your guide through all the tech and creative aspects of video podcast editing inside Video+Podcast EditLab.
My fascination with sound started way back when I was just a seven-year-old, finding joy in the hums and buzzes of my parents' VCRs and CD players rather than playground games or Saturday morning cartoons.
Instead of simply watching movies or listening to music, I was more interested in creating my own mixes—a passion that has still stuck with me.
Throughout my life, I've immersed myself in all things audio...
Jamming in rock bands, earning my stripes in a Hollywood recording studio, and even running my own recording studio. But things took a fascinating turn when the world of podcasting came knocking on my door.
Suddenly, I was granted the autonomy to manage my own workflow, pick and choose the projects that truly resonated with me, and, most importantly, establish my own online business centered around podcast production and editing.
Now, my mission is two-fold.
I aim to teach you the best editing techniques I’ve accumulated over the years to fast-track your transformation into an outstanding video podcast editor.
And two, I want to show you how to turn your newfound skills into a sustainable, fulfilling career—something that no one taught me in school and something I had to learn the hard way.
So here we are, ready to embark on this editing journey together. I'm excited to share all my experience, the lessons I've learned, and my passion for audio and video with you.

Hola Amigo! I'm Veronica.
I'll be your marketing and business development instructor inside Video+Podcast EditLab.
I am a Colombian powerhouse who pivoted from being an attorney working in the corporate world to launching my own business and building a brand online, PSS Creative Media.
You might wonder, why the shift?
Well, just like many of you, I was done with the grind of devoting my precious time to someone else's dream.
What I truly yearned for was independence, the freedom to travel back to my beloved Colombia whenever my heart desired, and the privilege to be there for all the little moments in my kids' lives—school drop-offs, pick-ups, performances, and sports practices.
Marketing and I are your new Besties!
Soon into my journey as an entrepreneur, I realized the importance of building a presence online and having an efficient but manageable marketing plan to attract clients to our thriving business.
Over the years, I've helped my amazing and talented clients and students build their brands and businesses online, aiding them in turning their passion for podcasting into a profitable venture.
I want to do the same for you!
The online world can be intimidating, and finding the right strategies for growth might seem daunting.
Also, being a great podcast editor goes beyond just technical abilities. To build a successful career or business in podcasting, you also need to master the art of marketing yourself and your skills. Clients will not come knocking on your door or clutter your inbox magically.
But don’t you worry! Together we’ll build a marketing strategy that’s easy to implement and effective at attracting your dream clients.
So let's get this ball rolling.
Que le aga bomba la camisa papito! 😂
